We designed a product testing
and placement programme that would allow
our client (a Top 3 retailer) to carry
out as many tests as possible within their
budget, whilst ensuring that results were
meaningful enough to make business decisions
for product quality improvements.
Foods included ambient, fresh, chilled
and frozen, and appropriate safety and
hygiene standards were crucial to the
programme.
Two methodologies were used –
product tests in central locations and
in-home placement and recall.
We established our Cold
Chain programme to ensure products
were delivered to respondents at the
correct temperature.
We had to provide respondent
quota samples, logistic solutions, central
locations and specialist trained interviewers
across the UK, all meeting strict criteria.
We were successful in winning the contract
worth in excess of £1m, beating
off competition from 9 other agencies.
We delivered up to 20 product tests
per week, each one to exacting standards.
Throughout this time we firmly established
ourselves as experts in food research.
